Old Shebbearians celebrating the 1952 Reunion at the Connaught Rooms in London
A segment of photograph from the Russ family archives thought to show an OSA Reunion at the Holborn Restaurant, London, probably in 1909 or 1910. At the top of the picture from left to right are Sidney Russ, later to become an eminent Professor of Medical Physics; John Rounsefell, Old Shebbearian and newly appointed Headmaster of Shebbear College and Frank Welch, Secretary of the fledgling OSA. No fewer than eight Russ brothers were educated at Shebbear. As well as Sidney, three other brothers are shown in the photograph.
